The Babcock Protector 50 model was made as one of a set of four for Babcock and their stand at DSEI 2017. The models demonstrate their multipurpose, customisable platform range, showing example configurations and roles for the craft.

CAD files supplied directly by the client were used to create the 3D printed hull; after being carefully hand-finished to remove the build lines inherent in the 3D printing process, we constructed the superstructure and dressed the deck with etched brass railings, cleats, antennae and other fine details. Like the other models in the range for Babcock, we mounted the hull on stainless steel stantions bolted to a polished black base for the show.
