Electronics and Interactives
There are many different ways to incorporate electronics and interactivity in models and displays. Lighting offers a dynamic way to animate a display or reflect a flow of movement, like natural light or electricity. We can build in a water supply for a testing simulator or to create visual effects.
Dynamic lighting for architectural models
We build architectural models using lighting to denote specific buildings or infrastructure features. While static ‘on-off’ lighting within architectural models has become standard practice, dynamic lighting can help a model stand out to win a competition or a bid for a new contract. Our system forms an incredibly flexible platform to display something as simple as tonal ‘breathing’ between colours, to forming the core of a rich interactive experience. Dynamic lighting is another tool at our disposal to help achieve our client’s goals, and is a service we offer to create striking, contemporary models.
Interactive Electronic Models
When developing an exhibition model or educational display, we design electronics to create interactive features to engage your audience. We specialise in developing interactive simulators or games, which are fun for children and adults alike, for use in visitor centres and museums. View our Bike Generator at the Glasgow Science Centre
Touch Screens or iPad Display
If your users will need access to further information within your display, we will build and connect a touch screen into the unit. This worked well on the Western Power Distribution series of models.
Electronics for Point of Sale Visual Displays
For retail point of sale or trade show displays, we can design creative electronic displays to make your product stand out. Coloured or phased lighting will glorify a product on a custom-built display plinth or stand.
The wave tank looked amazing and was perfect for the show! So much interest and many curious engineers. Thanks!
